Stellstarr* Live - T in the Park (Sunday 11th July)

With only half an hour to impress Stellstarr* opt for the greatest hits approach throwing in a couple new songs off the next records along the way. Unfortunately there are 2 major problems with the set.

The first is the sound - Amanda's bass booms throughout the set with the unfortunate effect of drowning out her own backing vocals. Whilst Shawn's voice isn't quite the same distraction it is on record, the harmonies do lift several of the songs.

Amanda after the biggest cheer of the set (she had a jacket on when she came on stage!)

The other is two women who seem determined to hold up placards during the better known songs. Coupled with a  couple of people on shoulders, this means that I see nothing of My Coco at all. I'm not alone as further placard hoisting activities on Jenny attract a series of well aimed plastic glasses. The women look puzzled as to whether or not they are the targets of the flying plastic. If you're reading this, girls, you were and it was a direct result of your totally ignorant behaviour.

Ignorant women not holding signs up during "On My Own"

So I end up being somewhat underwhelmed by the Stellastarr* experience. Not a bad show by any means, but it never really took off.
