PULP - THIS IS HARDCORE/THIS IS GLASTONBURY
This double CD seems to have been released to somewhat less than rapturous applause - it seems to have been respected but not loved (or bought really). Which is definitely a shame, because this sounds to me every bit as good as "Different Class". Sure there's not the killer single, but it is the sound of Pulp broadening their horizons a bit, although not perhaps as much as Jarvis would like to think. The live CD doesn't add much, being almost exclusively made up of tracks from "This Is Hardcore" and it is a bit of a rip-off to put that live CD out a number of months after the fans had snapped up the CD on release.
But if you've been swithering over this LP, don't. Just buy it.
